Pastor John brought the eighth iinstallment in his series on God’s Purpose.  This one is entitled “Understanding: The First Step“.

Beginning in Philippians chapter 1, Pastor Frone expounded on the Fruits of Righteousness in the seventh installment in his series on God’s Purpose.

On Thursday, Pastor brought another word in the “God’s Purpose” series.  This sixth installment is entitled Walk in the Spirit.

Pastor Frone continued his series on God’s Purpose.  This message is entitled Good Works.

Sunday, December 30 saw Pastor Frone teaching on His Promise and Hope.

The message for Thursday, January 3rd, 2008 was the third installment  on God’s Purpose.

We hope you find these as much of a blessing as we have.

This is the question raised in Thursday night’s message.  This could be the start of a series, but I’m not sure yet.

What is Really Important?

Pastor Frone has begun a series entitled God’s Purpose and the first two messages are:

In addition, the congregation took a collection and Steve Sachar built a new pulpit for the Pastor.  It is pictured below.  Steve is at left, and Pastor Frone is where one might expect.

The blue disk in the center is replacable and initially will show the Dove-and-Word logo of our church.  You can see an example of that logo on our Welcome page.

We canceled services on Thursday Dec. 13 and Sunday Dec. 16 due to inclement weather here in Albany, so there are no messages for those dates.

Back on Sunday the 9th Pastor Frone brought the Word in a sermon entitled Faith Is Released.  I’ll get the one from last Thursday and today’s up as soon as I can.  Stay tuned.

I have been very busy and we’ve been having some technical issues with the recordings of late, so nothing has been posted here for a couple of weeks.

Today’s message is a continuation of Pastor Frone’s Latter Days series. 

At 25 minutes into the message we had a microphone failure.  Right around that point you will hear Pastor Frone recap “the last five minutes or so”.  This happened because of the problem with the mic.  There is also a period or two where there is some crackling.  This is related to the same issue.

Thursday evening we wrapped up a three-part series on Colossians.  Sunday, Pastor Frone continued the Latter Days series with his third installment.

It’s all about Jesus Christ.  Rules and regulations, performance metrics, philosophy; these are the trappings of religion.  They take the focus off Christ, and are of no value.

As you can see, A Better Covenant has a new look.  I have done this to simplify the site a bit more and to attempt to correct a couple of issues noticable only by people who can update the site.

By the way, it appears that the issues we were hearing in the last group of messages may have simply been trouble with the battery in one of our devices. We are continuing to monitor this, but we hope that it is resolved.

I’ve noticed that there were some significant recording issues with at least one of the latest uploads. These issues are in the master recordings and cannot be repaired. They are not a product of duplication, and it isn’t that there is something wrong with your playback equipment.
