Song of Solomon 4:9-10

Thou hast ravished my heart, my sister, my spouse; thou hast ravished my heart with one of thine eyes, with one chain of thy neck. How fair is thy love, my sister, my spouse! how much better is thy love than wine! and the smell of thine ointments than all spices!

My sister, my spouse! This jumped off the page to me and the Spirit began bringing other Scriptures to my mind and showing me a tiny bit about the intimacy of the relationship He wants to have with us.  It’s amazing!  Listen to how He sees us in Intimacy With Christ

Pastor John brought two more messages in his series on God’s expectations.  Often we read in the Word of things we are to do, or things we are not to do.  Too often we begin to act like Pharisees and build religious rules around these rather than looking to the author of our faith to be its finisher as He promises He is.

Pastor Frone has been spending a lot of time clarifying how it is that we are to do “good works” and obey what the Bible teaches without getting all wrapped up in ourselves, our failures, and our pride.

We are six messages in arrears here on the Web site.  Thisis mostly due to travel and personal scheduling issues on the part of the guy who posts here.  He apologizes

We know that we are saved by grace through faith, not by works, yet Scripture is clear that we are to obey God’s commands.  What does that mean?  How can we obey without becoming entangled in a set of religious rules and litmus tests?

Pastor Frone has begun to tackle this important area this week in his Introduction to Doing God’s Will.

The time for learning has come.  Be sure to listen!

God is The Source! Every good and perfect gift is from above, but there is more to it than that. In Him we live and move and have our being. If you’re feeling down or stressed, the answer isn’t shopping or eating, or drinking, or any other thing that comforts the flesh. The answer is The Source.
